End of May 2019 Fishing Report

Wrapping up May, the fishing has been great for almost all species. Sea Trout are still coming over the rails. The Snook bite has moved to the beaches and the Redfish are moving in to the islands. Fishing in general has been Red Hot and so has the weather. We have been focusing our trips on all species, but one species has been stealing the show for the month. Black Drum have moved into the area with strong numbers and my clients have been eager to battle thees bruisers on light tackle.

The third week of May I had the pleasure of taking out some High School Grads from Naples High and Sea Crest.

Ben put the heat on this one. We even got it on video.Drum Ben

Then I joined in for a little fun DrumDrum

Sam is the winner of the Big Fish of the Month. He showed us how it was done.Drum sam

Brian and his son Sam joined us for the last week wrap up. I will say Sam picked up the biggest Flounder that I have seen in the Ten Thousand Islands, at 19.5 inches.

Fishing is great this time of year, with catch and release action on Snook and Tarpon. Table Fare of Sea Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, and Flounder are being invited home for dinner. Maybe real soon, which we are expect any day now, the Triple Tail will move in.

Keep the lines tight and the rod tip up,
