We do apologize for the late posting. We have been quite busy.
The month of April was a great introduction to Spring! We had some heartbreaks with Tarpon, but the Redfish, Snook, and Black Drum have not disappointed. Featured below are some highlights from repeat clients.
A.J. with his first Redfish, at 30 inches.
Joe and his brother with a set of Black Drum.
Scott and Tammy with a pair of Drums.
And then we come to the winner of April’s largest fish…
This is Donna with her 1st Black Drum. Not only did she catch this big guy, but she released a 5 Ft. Black Tip Shark, one hour earlier!
Her group of ladies from the Ladies Fishing Club did not disappoint. Featured below, is Mary and Ann trying to keep up.
In case you are wondering about the table fare, here are a couple of pictures of the process; from start to finish. Yumm!
May started out the same. We had a couple of good trips, but some camera problems. You’ll have to take my word for this. By the second week, we had it figured out. I went fishing with Captain Barry Cuda from Estero Bay, Bonita Springs, FL, in Port of the Islands, Naples, Fl. I was happy to show him the fishery down south. These pictures don’t do the fish justice. Barry is a tall guy. He picked up a backwater slam today, but missed the Tarpon, this morning, which kept him from the backwater grand slam.
I got in on the action, as well. and will say that I am in the lead for the largest fish of the month, with this 20 lb. Black Drum. You should have seen the one I lost. LOL
Who is ready to take me off of the leader board for May? I have dates available. The fish are chewing!
Tight Lines,
Captain Jim Fortman
