Mid July 2018 Fishing Report

Snook! Snook! Trout! Trout! And more Snook! They seem to be everywhere. July kicked off with a bang!

Snook, Trout, and Redfish are on both the inside and outside flats, in abundance. No red tide or green algae has hit our area of the Ten Thousand Islands. In fact, I think they are driving more fish to our area. We are still seeing schools of Tarpon in the bays and outside flats. They are eager to take baits. Redfish and Black Drum have been schooling in the same areas. Did I mention the Snook and Trout are everywhere.

Pictured below are some of our July catches.

If you are in to artificial, top water, bouncing jigs, or even fly fishing, this is the time to give me a call.  239-325-7109. Don’t worry.  They are hitting live bait, too.

Tight lines,

Captain Jim Fortman
