It was a fantastic week in the Ten Thousand Islands, Naples, FL, even with a cold front and heavy winds. We still managed to put a couple of trophies in the boat.
The beaches, waterways, and mangroves never disappoint. Sunday’s and Monday’s Nature Tour delighted clients with dolphin and manatee encounters, as well as beautiful walks on the secluded beaches. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday brought in dinner and a few trophies. Trout, Black Tip Sharks, and Jack Cravelle were abundant. I’m disappointed that I didn’t have the camera ready when my client hooked and jumped his first tarpon. I’m estimating it was between 50 and 75 pounds. It put on quite a show!
