Redfish and Jack Crevalle

More from the week of December 26, 2016

It has been a beautiful week in the Ten Thousand Islands, with plenty of Sea Trout filling the cooler.  We have also had plenty of trophy fish to go with the beautiful weather.

Pictured above are two of our backwater charters this week.  The first picture is a monster Jack Crevalle of 15 pounds.  It was not only a personal best for my client,  Jim, but also his first saltwater catch.  The family left with smiles on their faces and a Trout dinner.

The second picture is from a father and sons’ fishing trip. Nick is featured with his first Redfish.  Andrew, Nick, and Jay had a great morning, even with the freezing temperatures. (At least it felt like that to this Floridian) We hung out with the Manatees for a little bit and took pictures of the wadding birds on the extreme low tide of the morning.  This family also left with smiles on their faces and a nice Trout dinner.

Looking forward to next week’s charters, where the temperatures are expected to climb back into the 80s.
